Nornour Gold Coin, Fortuna
A beautiful piece of island heritage. This solid gold coin pendant is cast from an original Roman coin found on Nornour in the Eastern Isles - A discovery by Sophie’s grandparents that led to the archaeological excavation and ultimately the development of Museum on St Mary’s.
This pendant shows a figure of Fortuna; The goddess of fortune, fate and chance. In her hands she holds a cornucopia and a rudder by her side to symbolise abundance and controller of destiny.
The pendant has a plain, polished reverse.
